Boca eliminated from the Copa Libertadores: River and Independiente's mistakes and the promotion club that later apologized for "messing up"

Boca lost on penalties to Alianza Lima of Peru and was thus eliminated from Phase 2 of the Copa Libertadores , which will also leave them out of this year's Copa Sudamericana . The news fell like a bomb in La Bombonera and Argentine football echoed the result on social media.
CMs, or community managers , the people in charge of the institutions' accounts, often play the strap with jokes dedicated to the loser on duty, although the peculiarity of this case is that the beatings to Boca were for a result unrelated to a direct match.
In Independiente published a video boasting of maintaining its historic cup dominance with seven victories (Boca will continue with 6) and in River they posted a suggestive message remembering the days left until the draw for the current edition of the Libertadores, which will have Gallardo and his team looking for the fifth. But in Alvarado de Mar del Plata they doubled the bet.
The populous team from La Feliz, which plays in the Primera Nacional , for many the most popular in the city, above Aldosivi, expressed itself on Twitter about the matter and stated bluntly: "Don't worry Boca, we are not going to play the Copa Libertadores or the Copa Sudamericana either."
The supposed compassionate message with the Xeneize seemed to contain a certain irony and if any innocent person had any doubts about it, the club from the Centenario neighborhood itself made it clear a while later, when it published a new post but this time apologizing .
"Sorry," the entity that has Facundo Moyano, son of Hugo Moyano, as president, begins by saying in its defense. "We wanted to play bait, but in Alvarado the people always come first," it clarifies later. "Bait" is the term used on social networks when a joke is promoted with the aim of going viral.
Alvarado's message that he later deleted, dedicated to Boca.
"From the communications team we apologize to all the fans and members of the club. Sometimes we get things right but this time we messed up," he said in recognition, without naming Boca and after deleting the controversial message.
And he concludes: "We will work to ensure that the Club Alvarado networks continue to grow and we will do so by listening to you."
The original message was deleted from Alvarado 's social media, which has accumulated two draws and a recent defeat so far in the Primera Nacional tournament, last Monday by 3-1 against Racing de Córdoba in La Docta.
Alvarado's quick reaction may have had to do with the fact that in Mar del Plata, as in many cities in the interior of the country, fans tend to identify with some great Argentine team and at the same time be supporters of some local club, or vice versa.
Where they didn't worry about the possible repercussions from the Boca world was at Sacachispas , a club in which their social media team tends to be very rude and have no limits when it comes to jokes.
"Today we support our colleague from Alvarado...", they wrote, and added: "Don't worry Boca, we are not going to play the Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana either."
Football continues and Boca will play this Friday for the continuity of the Apertura Tournament in the so-called "inter-zone date" receiving Rosario Central, in a Bombonera that promises to continue demonstrating after the cup elimination.
